Meet The Team

Director: Lisa Stuckwisch

Lisa, the Director of Rainbow Equine Center, has over 20 years of experience in special education.  As well as being a Registered Behavior Technician.  She has over 40 years of overall horsemanship knowledge with her primary riding discipline being Dressage. After she retired from Professional Riding, she dreamed of combining her two passions into a well rounded educational experience.  Rainbow Equine is the end result of those dreams!

Instructor: Stephanie Stuckwisch

Stephanie has been working with horses for over 20 years.  She has her Bachelor's in Biology and Philosophy from Mount Holyoke College and her Master's in Wildlife Biology and Conservation from Edinburgh Napier. She is currently working on her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine license.

 Instructor: Chelsea 

Chelsea holds a bachelor’s degree as a K–12 Moderate/Intensive Intervention Specialist (Special Education Teacher) and a Master’s degree as a Technology Facilitator. She has 15 years of experience teaching students with Multiple Disabilities (MD) and is currently working with high school students identified with Emotional Disturbance (ED) who have not been successful in their home districts, and now attend an alternative school..

In addition to her work in education, Chelsea has known and been training with Lisa for over 10 years. She prefers English riding and is working toward her goal of competing in Eventing.

Sensory Aide: Josie 

She began her journey here as a working student and has grown into a talented, intuitive horsewoman through extensive hands-on experience, including liberty work and starting young horses.

 

Having ridden and trained throughout Central Ohio for many years, Josie has developed a soft, intuitive relationship with both horses and riders. She has a natural ability to meet each horse and each student exactly where they are, creating an environment that supports growth, trust, and genuine connection.

Trainer: Federico 

Attends Capital University, studying business. We have a wonderful opportunity to have Fred on our team! He helps train our younger horses. He is a trusted horseman and always puts the well-being of the horses first!

Instructor-Maddie

"Maddie has worked with horses most of her life. For the last decade she has learned how to adapt riding english or western styles to any disability through personal experience. She is currently pursuing her DVM and a Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering, focusing on developing adaptable medical devices for animals. She rides both English and Western."

Stable  hand-Audrey

Audrey is 17 years old and a senior at Hilliard Davidson HS- as well as Tolles Technical Center. She has rode horses for around 5 years, primarily in western disciplines. She enjoys to read, weld, play guitar, and is in the drumline at her school. Audrey has a passion for horses, as well as helping people, and is so excited to be able to do both!

Instructor: Brooke

Brooke’s love for horses started at the age of 8.   Lessons on the flat and over fences led to owning a first horse at 13 years old.  Pony Club, dressage, eventing, high jumping, training with olympic riders, competing, and teaching both children and adults to ride fulfilled her passion for decades. She also enjoys trail rides and Liberty Horsemanship.

Deputy Executive Director:  Katie Stuckwisch

Katie has her bachelor's degree in Special Education K-12 from Miami University and has been teaching for over 5 years as an Intervention Specialist.  Her unique approach to  teaching allows for students to grow in strength and flexibility  in an organic timeframe.  She has over 20 years of horsemanship experience.

Volunteer Manager: Cara Egeland

Cara is a special ed teacher, owner of Beach Spirit Apparel- with a background in CrossFit. Her passion is for inclusion and creating opportunities within her business and community for her son on the spectrum. She strives to help each individual find their own path.

Instructor: Raegan 

Reagan has been working with horses for more than 12 years. She showed competitively for six years and has recently become a certified equine massage therapist. She also has a background in Special Education. Raegan has a passion for caring and loving all animals. She helps us manage our day to day activities at the Barn, as well as care for the animals. Her main riding discipline is Western Riding.

Stablehand-Avery

My name is Avery Barcus, I have been riding and working with horses for over 5 years. My riding discipline is western. I am a junior at Marysville High School and I have a strong passion for caring and loving horses. I love working with kids and helping them reach their goals.

Chief Volunteer-Vicki

Vicki is our FAVORITE volunteer!  She comes once a week to the barn to help with cleaning.  If Vicki is there, you know everything is spotless!!!

Instructor: Shaela

Shea has been riding for nearly a decade, with her main focus on the competitive A Circuit jumpers. A true all-around horsewoman, she’s explored many disciplines and even earned the title of Reserve National IEA Champion in ranch riding. Her versatility, dedication, and love for horses shine through in everything she does, whether she’s training, competing, or helping riders reach their goals.
